The dressiest of all our shirts is the Nobleman. Made of a soft and drapey viscose rayon, a renewable resource material, it acts, looks, and washes like cotton, but is softer and drapes & breathes better due to a thinner and more tightly woven thread.
The Nobleman’s Shirt has a small fold-over collar, and a lacing grommeted chest with 2 layers of chest ruffles, one larger, behind, in lace, and another in front, narrower, of solid material. This feature is duplicated on the ruffled wrist cuffs. Deck hands do not wear this shirt, Captains do. Renaissance heart-throbs do, theme wedding grooms do, and kilt wearing hotties do (that goes double for Utilikilts). Your chest ruffles will need to be steamed forward once it comes out of the package, don’t forget to steam your ruffles so they don’t look flat.
Fit is super easy. The drape and puff is already built in, so you don’t have to go up in size. The chest measurement is how much material is there, not what your chest size is, this isn’t like a modern shirt. Just pick what you wear in a t-shirt.
